Evelyn L. Hovey, 89, of Woodstock NB passed away on Sunday, March 29, 2015 at the Upper River Valley Hospital Waterville NB after a short battle with pneumonia. Evelyn was born Weston NB on September 27, 1925 daughter of the late Alex and Hilda (Greer) Gartley.

Evelyn is survived by her daughter, Velma Tracey (Douglas), son Gerald Hovey, eight grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, loving sister Muriel White, daughters in law Gloria and Bernie nieces, nephews and cousins.

Besides her parents, Evelyn was predeceased by her husband Charles Hovey, two sons, Wayne, Brian, daughter, Lorraine and a sister, Iva Hagerman.

Visitation will be held at The Carleton Funeral Home & Crematorium 337 Lockhart Mill Road Jacksonville on Tuesday, March 31, 2015 from 4 PM to 8 PM. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at 2 PM from the Carleton Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be held at later date.

As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Stickney Cemetery Fund or to the ALS Society.
