  Obituary: Steven M. Corey 1959-2026 The death of Steven Michael Corey of Bristol occurred on Friday, January 2, 2026, at the Upper River Valley Hospital, Waterville with his family by his side. Steven was born March 8, 1959, in Bath, NB and was the son of the late Keith and Eva May (Caldwell) Corey. He was also predeceased by his favorite father-in-law, Boyd Clowater. Steve was always there to lend a helping hand to others in need. He loved his family and to spend time with them. Steven aka “The Big Guy” loved to explore the great outdoors on his 4-wheeler. He was a dedicated and hardworking man. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Steven is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Cathey; 2 sons, Drew and Dexter; 5 siblings, Rebecca Bell, Murray Corey, Brian Corey (Angela), Donald Corey (Kathy) and Susan Corey; his favorite mother-in-law, Charlena Clowater; sister-in-law, Diane Davidson (John); brother-in-law, Richard Clowater; his chosen brother, Rick DeMerchant and chosen sister Mary Morgan; uncle, Andrew Caldwell (Alice); aunt, Beth Logue (Harold) as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family. Respecting Steven’s request there will be no formal services.
