      Shirley V. MacNeil
      1942-2025

It is with the saddest of hearts that we, the family of Shirley Vena MacNeil, announced her peaceful passing on September 25, 2025 at Langs Lodge in Grafton, N.B. at the age of 83. Born on May 7, 1942 Shirley was the loving daughter of the late Ralph and
Lena Thomas (nee Watters). Shirley was also predeceased by her husband Michael MacNeil, brother Neil Thomas, sister in laws Juanita Thomas & Anne Marie MacKinnon, brother in law Clifford MacKinnon, nephew Stephen Thomas and great nephew David Thomas.

Shirley is survived by her stepchildren Lee MacNeil & Derrick MacNeil, grandchildren Kevin, Christopher, Michael, Teresa, Adam, Kaylee, Andrew & Erin, 6 great Grandchildren, siblings Ralph Eldon (Karen), Jerry (Dawn), Brian (Debbie), several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, many cousins, 1 aunt and many dear friends.

We, as a family, want to extend our sincere appreciation to Peter & Lydia Lang for opening their Special Care home to Shirley in her final weeks. To their manager Jasmine and her staff, we cannot begin to express the depth of our gratitude for the love, care and compassion you showed to Shirley and us especially during her final hours. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!! We also want to
extend our grateful thanks to Giberson Funeral Home for your compassion, professionalism and attention to detail making an otherwise
      difficult situation easier.

Shirley, your love knew no end and we, your family and friends, will miss your presence in our lives forever.

“May she soar like an eagle on her journey home”

Respecting Shirley’s wishes there will be no formal service. A private burial with family and close friends will take place at a later date.
Memorial donations for those who wish to donate in Shirley’s memory can be made to the Upper River Valley Cancer Support Group,
DunRoamin Stray and Rescue or a charity of donor's choice.
