  Obituary: Susanne Mary Margaret Walsh March 7th, 1948 - September 8th, 2025 Susanne Mary Margaret Walsh, aged 77, of Listerville, N.B., passed away at the Upper River Valley Hospital on September 8th, 2025. Susanne was the first born of Francis William Pierce and Helen Frances Pierce (Boyd) and is predeceased by her parents and youngest sister, Theresa. She is survived by her husband, Mike Couper, daughters Bridget Osmond (Wade), Catherine Smith (Doug), Sarah Tellefsen (Kristian) and Jessica Shaw (Stephen); grandchildren Emma Motley, Madison and Isabella Osmond, Sofia, Daniel and Mathias Tellefsen. She is also survived by her siblings Mary Davis (Joe), Rose McLeod (Carl) and brother, Louis Pierce (Karen Mifflin), brother-in-law, David Couper (Paula), as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. From an early age, Susanne was taught the importance of family, building relationships, and having a strong work ethic. Growing up on a farm, she worked together with her parents and siblings, picking potatoes and operating a variety of farm equipment. Later, in her professional career, she became a proficient law clerk and formed many long-lasting friendships with her colleagues. Susanne was a lifelong learner, acquiring skills and developing her artistic passions of sewing, quilting, and mosaic crafting. She was a deeply loving and caring mother and grandmother. Even though her daughters and family lived in Western Canada and Europe, Susanne always loved keeping in touch through frequent FaceTime calls, phone conversations, giving special gifts and visiting her loved ones far and wide. Susanne and Mike held shared passions for gardening, outdoor adventures, music and being in each other’s company. Their home was always inviting and welcoming to their friends and family. She will be greatly missed. Family will be welcoming guests at L.R. Giberson Funeral Directors (207 Burnham Road Florenceville-Bristol) on Friday, September 12th, 2025, from 12:30 - 2:00 p.m. A celebration of life will be held starting at 2:30 p.m. from the chapel at Giberson’s. There will be a livestream on the L.R. Giberson Funeral Directors Facebook page, beginning shortly after 2:30 pm.
