  Obituary: Barbara A Oakes 1949-2020 October 26, 1949 - Bath, Carleton Co, New Brunswick May 7, 2020 - Calgary, Alberta It is with great sorrow that I tell you that the guiding light in my life has been extinguished. Barbara Oakes, of Calgary, AB, passed away on Thursday, May 7, 2020 at the age of 70 years. She is survived by her partner Gordon Millen, son Marc Oakes, granddaughter Shaela Oakes; sisters, Donna Ruff, and Debra Perkins; as well as her brothers, David Oakes, Dana Oakes and Jaimie Oakes. She was also Nana to Gordons’ three granddaughters and one grandson. Memorial to be held at a later date in New Brunswick.
