Fred Tompkins
December 8, 1926 - July 22, 2012
EASTON & MARS HILL – Fred Tompkins, 85, passed away Sunday July 22, 2012 at a Mars Hill health care facility. He was born December 8, 1926 in British Columbia, Canada, the son of Harvey and Pearl Tompkins. Fred worked for many years for area farmers and could be seen many times parked on Main St. in Mars Hill sitting on his moped. Fred is survived by his brother Guy of Westfield. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by a brother Willard, and a sister Gladys. Funeral services will take place 1 PM Thursday at the East Ridge Union Church with Pastor Lawrence Beals officiating. Friends may call from 12 noon until time of service at the church. Interment will take place following the service at Estes Park Cemetery in Easton. Arrangements in care of Duncan Funeral Home 8 Main St. Mars Hill.
