Guy Tompkins
March 14, 1922 - February 23, 2016
EASTON & WESTFIELD – Guy Tompkins, 93, passed away Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at a Presque Isle health care facility. He was born March 14, 1922 in British Columbia, Canada, the son of Harvey and Pearl Tompkins.
Guy attended East Ridge Union Church of Mars Hill, his favorite hymn was When the account was settled years ago, was an avid Red Sox Fan and enjoyed spending time at Al's Diner in Mars Hill.
He is survived by his cousin Faye Kimball of Westfield, good friends Jay Brewer, Bob Tweedie, Lawrence Beals, Jim Taylor and Harry Orser. He will also be missed by many friends at Southern Acres Boarding Home in Westfield.
In addition to his parents, Guy was predeceased by his brothers Willard and Fred Tompkins.
Friends and family may call from 2:30-3:30pm on Monday, February 29, 2016 at Duncan Funeral Home, 8 Main Street in Mars Hill. Donations in his memory may be made to East Ridge Union Church P.O. Box 45 Mars Hill, ME 04758. A graveside service will be held in the spring at Estes Park Cemetery in Easton, Pastor Lawrence Beals officiating.
