      Carolyn Marie Tompkins

      With heartfelt sadness, we announce the death of Carolyn Marie Tompkins, 71, of Jacksonville NB, who passed away on November, 29, 2021.

      Carolyn Marie Tompkins was born in Saint John on April 21st, 1950 to Sarah (Hersey) and Arthur Gautreau.

      Carolyn leaves behind Bob and her children, Blaine (Rhonda) and their children Samantha and Ryan; Craig (Kelly) and their children Emily and Megan; and Andrea (Derek) and their children Gabrielle and Cole.

      She is also survived by her siblings Diane (Truman) Hayward, Donnie (Coreen) Gautreau, Patsy (Ron) Thibert, and Ken (Carol) Paisley, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

      Aside from her parents, Carolyn is predeceased by her siblings Theresa and Peter.

      Carolyn will be remembered as a loving, giving, tenacious woman who adored her family and treasured the friendships she made. She loved to laugh, meet people, and took every opportunity she could to be adventurous. She was fun and had an awesome sense of humour which made people like being around her. She was a sister, mother, wife, aunt, Nanny, cousin, and friend.

      She made a difference to many lives, and she mattered. We love her and we will miss her.

      If so desired, donations in Carolyn’s memory can be made to the Upper River Valley Cancer Support group.

      Visitation will be held at the Carleton Funeral Home, 337 Lockhart Mill Road Jacksonville NB on Friday December 3rd, 2021 from 6 to 9PM.

      Funeral Service will be held on Saturday December 4th, 2021 at 11:00 AM from the Woodstock Wesleyan Church, Interment will follow at the Lindsay Cemetery.

      Please Note: Covid19 regulations require proof of double vaccination and an ID must be presented, Also masks are required for both Funeral Home and Church.
