- Obituary:Gary D. Dingee1945-2025It is with profound sadness the family of Gary Duane Dingee announce his death which occurred on Saturday, July 5, 2025, at his home. Gary was born May 27, 1945, in Bath, NB and was the son of the late Arthur and Geraldine (Caldwell) Dingee. Gary was also predeceased by his beloved wife, Yvonne “Bunny”; 1 brother, Brent Dingee; 1 sister, Brenda Denny and nephew, Craig Dingee.Gary is survived by his 2 daughters, Andrea Dingee (Jody Gagnon) and Beth Titus (Mark); 4 grandchildren, Emily and Anna Titus, Abigail and Matthew Dingee; 3 brothers, Garth Dingee (Melanie), Brian Dingee (Barbara) and Graydon Dingee (Sam); 2 brothers-in law, Charles Denny and Hughie Doherty (Mandy) and 1 aunt, Claudia Quinn (Alison) as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family.After retirement, he and Bunny settled in West Glassville and the farm became a cherished gathering place for many over the years.Gary’s love for his family ran deep. His daughter’s, Andrea and Beth along with their families were blessed with a dad who was loved by everyone. Gary was a familiar face at community events … it was where he checked in with everyone, always eager to stay in the know. He was incredibly proud of his family, especially his grandchildren, who were the light of his life.He was the patriarch of our clan, the host of Dingee Day at the Hawk and countless sliding parties. He was the keeper of stories and an enthusiastic volunteer with many groups in the community.Our family is blessed with many happy memories, that we will carry with us forever. Gary touched many lives in the community and his reach was far and wide, it didn’t matter where we were, he would always find someone he knew or quickly make a new friend.Gary worked for NBTel/Aliant for 34 years. He was also a dedicated member of Faith Memorial United Church, Carleton Lodge #35, and Luxar Shriners … the Loyalist Unit. He enjoyed curling for years, fishing, hunting and four-wheeling with his family as well as walking his Christmas tree plantation. One of his greatest joys was tending to his Christmas tree plantation, a passion he began in 1989. Gary and Bunny brought joy to many homes with their beautiful Christmas trees over the years.Visitation will be held from Faith Memorial United Church, 175 Burnham Rd. Florenceville-Bristol on Thursday, July 10, 2025, from 6-8 pm. A Masonic Tribute Service will be held at 5:30 pm. A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 11, 2025, at 11 am from the church. Rev. Michael Goodfellow will officiate along with Graydon Dingee. The interment will be held in the Bristol Community Cemetery.
