      Mary Doreen Wright
      1938-2024

It is with great sadness that the family of Mary Doreen McBride announces her passing at her home at the age of 86 on November 2nd, 2024

Mary was born on June 30th 1938 at Porten NB to Donald and Jennie (Porter) Wright. She married the love of her life, Richard, in 1955 and travelled extensively until returning home to Woodstock in 1970.

Mary was employed with NB Tel until she retired in 1985. After her retirement she spent her time gardening and canning the rewards of her garden. She loved sewing, knitting, and making quilts for her family but her biggest love was spending time with her family and grandchildren. She enjoyed the simple things in life and was always there to lend a helping hand to her family.

Mary was predeceased in death by her husband Richard, baby daughter Judith Lee, grandson Craig Kitchen, parents Donald and Jennie (Porter) Wright, sisters Eleanor Johnson, Merle Wilson, Donna Grant and Barbara Ketch.

She is survived by her daughters Judy Kitchen (Jamie), Janet MacQuarrie (Dale).

Grandchildren, Chris Kitchen, Barbie and Rick MacQuarrie.

Great Grandchildren, Rylee, Easton and Connor Kitchen.

Her sisters Lela Perkins and Gail Elliott. Brothers, Ken Wright (Rose), Robert Wright (Sandy), Donald Wright (Mary) and several nieces and nephews.

Brothers-in-law Clint Grant and James Ketch.

The family would like to thank Mary Wright for the love, support and care she gave Mary over the last few years and Brandon from Extra Mural who brightened her day on his visits with her.

Funeral services for Mary McBride will be held on Friday, November 8, 2024 at 11:00 am from the Woodstock Baptist Church, Woodstock, NB with Rev. Craig Woodcock and Rev. Please note that there will be no visitation prior to the Funeral.
