      Dean C. Estey
      1953-2025

The death of Dean Claire Estey, of Woodstock, NB and formerly of Florenceville, NB occurred on March 20, 2025 at the Upper River Valley Hospital in Waterville, NB. Born on June 30, 1953, he was the son of the late Arnold and Rose Estey. Dean was also predeceased by his wife, Cheryl and one brother, Graydon Estey.
Dean is survived by his two children, Jeremy Estey (Angie Paxman) and Janna (Nick) Larsen; Grandsons, Oliver and Atticus Larsen; Siblings, Helen Estey, Dwayne Estey, and Lloyd Estey; nieces and nephews, Lindsay, Sean, Kendra and Jason.

Dean grew up in the small village of Florenceville where he attended grade school with his siblings. In his younger years it was evident to all who knew him what he excelled in, and with the guidance of his sister, he completed Auto Mechanic school in Edmundston, NB in 1973. He pursued his reputable career at Connell Chrysler, Fox Ford, Valley Honda and the Department of Transportation in Woodstock.
Dean took pride in his family and his beloved 1967 Dodge Dart. He participated in many drag races over the years in Pennfield and Moncton with Mike Shaw and Donnie Tweedie. His love for engines had no boundaries; Dean lived and breathed for tractor pull season and looked forward to these weekends all year round with his son. Dean and his family spent most weekends at the Estey homestead in Florenceville where many friends and family gathered day and night where the door was always open. Dean was a sociable man and knew someone wherever he went. Dean enjoyed spending time with his grandson’s and loved to treat them to McDonald’s where his wallet was fully stalked with gift cards. Dean will be remembered for his great sense of humor, quick-whitted one-liners, foolishness, and rocking his socks and sandals attire. Dean had faith in our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ and is now walking with Him and his bride, Cheryl. We will be missing him on this side of heaven and anxiously awaiting to be reunited for all of eternity.

The family would like to thank the Carleton Manor for the 13 years of care along with the staff of the Upper River Valley Hospital.

A graveside service will be held in the spring in the West Florenceville Baptist Cemetery. For those who wish, memorial donations made to Carleton Manor (Woodstock) would be appreciated.
