      Thomas "Tom" Gee
      1924 - 2016

      It is with sadness the family of Thomas Rankine Gee announces his passing on Monday, May 30, 2016, at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital in Fredericton, NB. Born on May 4, 1924 in Wicklow, NB, he was the son of the late Purl and Mildred Gee.

      He is survived by his loving wife of sixty-five years, Marilyn (Smith) Gee; son, Peter Gee (Robin Saunders); daughter, Kathryn Rennie (Graham); granddaughter, Angela Hall (Aaron) and grandson, Damian Rennie (Hitomi). He is also survived by brothers, Troy of Charlottetown, PEI, Purl (Beverley) of Strathroy, ON; sister, Helen Dowling of Edson, AB; as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Jack Gee; sisters, Evelyn Tracey and Irene Lunn

      Tom enjoyed spending time with his family. He also loved nature, music, camping, and wood-working. He served his community through his membership in Kiwanis, the Meals on Wheels program, and as a Scout Leader.

      Arrangements are under the care of York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, where visitation will be held on Thursday, June 2, 2016 from 4-6 pm. A Private Interment Ceremony will take place at Knoxford Community Cemetery on Friday, June 3, 2016. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the SPCA or charity of your choice. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
