      Donna C. Dickinson
      1959-2025

Following a courageous battle with cancer, Donna Cathern Dickinson of Wakefield, NB, passed away peacefully at the Upper River Valley Hospital on Saturday, April 5, 2025. Donna was born in New Westminister, BC on February 12, 1959, to the late Arnold and Texie (O’Brien) Neilson. She was also predeceased by her stepfather, Harold Neilson.

Donna is survived by her husband Jeffrey Dickinson; son Logan Dickinson (Brandy); step children Jason Dickinson and Michelle Dickinson (Jason M.); step grandchildren Tayla, Scarlett, Tripp, Gage and Aurora. Donna is also survived by her siblings Debbie Hovey (Robert), Leon Neilson (Doris) and Kim Neilson, as well as several nephews and nieces.

Donna will be remembered for her love of travelling, golfing, hiking, biking, skiing, snowshoeing and just spending quality time with her family and friends. She put countless miles on her feet when walking with her friends, as she loved that social time with them. Donna loved life and took every opportunity to live it to the fullest. She was always planning for the next adventure. Her favorite motto was “Life is good”.

The family wants to extend their most sincere gratitude to all of the nurses and staff from the Extra Mural Program, to the wonderful Oncology staff at Upper River Valley Hospital and to the other staff from the Victoria General Hospital, Doctor Everett Chalmers Hospital and the Upper River Valley Hospital, that took some part in Donna’s cancer journey. Your devoted care during this difficult time will not be forgotten. She fought bravely with unwavering strength and courage, thanks in large part to all of your efforts.

Respecting Donna’s wishes a private graveside service will be held at a later date at the Bristol Community Cemetery. For those who wish, memorial donations made to the River Valley Cancer Support Group would be appreciated by the family.
