1945-2025
The death of Helen Margaret Blanchard of Carlow occurred on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at Hotel Dieu St. Joseph Hospital, Perth Andover. Helen was born February 27, 1945, in Bath and was the daughter of the late Matthew and Julia (Tibbetts) Gorey. She was also predeceased by 1 sister, Pauline Ruff, 2 brothers, Richard and Phillip Gorey as well as 2 half brothers, Clarence and Ambrose Tibbetts.
Helen is survived by her loving husband, David; 2 sons, Bradley Blanchard (Amanda) and David Blanchard Jr. (Chantelle); 5 grandchildren, Preston, Bradley, Brenn, Blake and Jasmine; 2 brothers, Dennis Gorey and Charles Gorey (Tammy) as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family.
A graveside service will be held at a later date. For those who wish, memorial donations made to the River Valley Cancer Support Group would be appreciated. L.R. Giberson Funeral Directors are entrusted with the arrangements.
