  Obituary: Marion Oakes Easton 94. Passed away Tuesday 5-27-2003 at a local health care facility in Houlton. A resident of Easton for 78 years, she was born 2-27-1909 in Centerville, NB., Canada. At the age of 16 she moved to Easton, where she worked as a house servant. She married Clifton Hammond in 1930. They lived and farmed on the Hersom Road in Easton until his death in 1968. She married Harden Oakes of Easton in 1972. He also predeceased her. She is survived by her daughter and son in law, Ethel and Dana Knox of Easton, her son and dughter in law, Clifton and Sandra Hammond of Elkhorn, Nebraska, 3 grandchildren, Rae Lynn Hewitt of Easton, Kimberly Lienemann of Plattsmouth,Nebraska and Craig Hammond of Blaire, Nebraska, 3 great grandchildren.
