  Obituary: Eric Charles Briggs - formerly of Oakville, NB passed away at Carleton Manor. In Woodstock on Saturday, September 08, 2018, at the age of 91. Eric Was born at Oakville, on April 15, 1927, son of the late Fred and Stella (Lindsay) Briggs. Eric is survived by his wife Mary Briggs; 2 sons Robert Briggs of Weston, NB; Brian Briggs of Oakville, NB; 1 daughter, Lisa Johnston and her husband Trevor of Weston, NB; 1 brother Weldon Briggs and his wife Audrey of Oakville, On; one sister, Marion McIntosh and her husband Allison of Clarkville, NB; 4 grandchildren, Charles Briggs; Maggie Briggs; Michael Thomas; Mallory Thomas; Besides his parents, Eric was pre-deceased by a brother Neil Briggs, sisters Irma Oliver and Wanda Winslow. Resting at the Scott Funeral Home, 815 Main Street, Woodstock, NB, with visiting on Sunday Sept 10, 2018 from 4:00pm- 8:00pm. The funeral Service will be held on Monday at 2:00pm from the Scott Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Todd MacLeod will be officiating, with interment in the Lindsay Cemetery.
