Notes - OBITUARY:
Richard Edwin DeMerchant of Mapledale passed away at Prince Albert Lodge in Woodstock on Thursday, January 01, 2004, at the age of 85. Richard is survived by two daughters, Lauralee Carmanico and Pennlope Rose both of Ottawa, ON; three sons, Christopher DeMerchant of Mapledale, NB; Elwin DeMerchant of Quispamsis, NB; Ruel DeMerchant of Mapledale, NB; four brothers, Glen DeMerchant; Archie DeMerchant; Ronald DeMerchant; Donald DeMerchant; two sisters, Dorothy DeWiitt and Neola Brooks; several grandchildren; nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his wife Grace DeMerchant and his parents Ernest and Olive (Pimlott) DeMerchant. Richard was a veteran of World War 2. Resting at The Scott Funeral Home, 815 Main Street, Woodstock, with visiting on Friday from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday at 2 :00 pm from the Scott Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Rod Black will be officiating, with interment in the Bedell Settlement [www.scottfh.com]
