  Obituary: BRISTOL, June 30-(Special)- The death of Mrs. Velma De Merchant, wife of Pte. J.L. De Merchant of Upper Kent, occurred at Bath Private Hospital, following a short illness. Beside her husband, she is survived by three sons, Pte. John, Fredericton, Howard and Douglas, Upper Kent: four daughters, Kathleen, Audrey, Marie and Donna, at home. The Funeral service was held from the home of Mr. and Mrs. Diten DeMerchant, Bristol, to the Baptist Church, Upper Kent. Rev. O. W. Shaw officiated.
