Harry E. Wolverton
1942-2025
The death of Harry Ernest Wolverton of Royalton occurred on Friday, March 7, 2025, at the Upper River Valley Hospital, Waterville. Harry was born August 6, 1942, in Chatham, NB and was the son of the late Donald and Bessie (Giberson) Wolverton. Harry was also predeceased by his wife, Margaret and 5 siblings, Donald, David, Madeline, Doris and Anna.
Harry had such a love of nature. One of his greatest joys was passing on that love to his children, grandchildren, and even great grandchildren. Everything from four wheeling, fishing, shooting tin cans, to driving his old van long before the age of ten. He will be greatly missed but his love of nature will live on.
Harry is survived by his companion, Avis Orser; 4 children, Donald E. Wolverton (Karen Southan), Tanya Wolverton, Waynonda Knight (Marc), Nicole Wolverton; stepson, Douglas Merritt (Tamara); 8 grandchildren, Brooke, Tayler, Jordan, Madisyn, Logan, Mercedes, Justin and Thomas; 3 great grandchildren, Xzavior, Spencer and Elsie; 1 sister, Eva MacLeod as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family.
Visitation will be held from L.R. Giberson Funeral Directors, 207 Burnham Rd. Florenceville - Bristol on Thursday, March 13, 2025 from 4-7 pm. A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 14, 2024 at 2:00 pm. Rev. T.D. McGuire will officiate. The interment will be in the Tracey Mills Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, donations may be made to the River Valley Cancer Support Group.
