    • Obituary:

      It is with sadness that we announce the death of Patricia "Patty" Bernice DeMerchant of Bristol which occurred on Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at the Upper River Valley Hospital, Waterville. Patty was born August 28, 1947 in Holmesville and was the daughter of the late Howard and Melissa (Broad) DeMerchant. She was also predeceased by her siblings, Ronald DeMerchant, Carol Crain (Earl) and Wilma McCullough; 2 brothers in law, Elwin Kinney and Lester Wallace; 1 sister in law, Doreen DeMerchant.

      Patty had been employed for 30 years at McCain Foods at the time of her retirement.

      She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Charles; 1 daughter, Tonya Anderson (Charles); her grandson and the love of her life, CJ Anderson; 7 siblings, Rose Oakes (Graydon), Martha Kinney, Lewis DeMerchant, Joyce Wallace, Herb DeMerchant, Murray DeMerchant (Donna) and Myrtle Boyd (Joe); 1 brother in law, Leo McCullough; special niece, Kimberly Brooks; her feline companion, Danny-Girl as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family.

      Public visitation will be held from L.R. Giberson Funeral Directors, 207 Burnham Rd. Florenceville-Bristol on Friday, July 3, 2020 from 4-8 pm. A public graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 4, 2020 at 11:00 am in the Mineral Cemetery. Rev. Carl O'Donnell will officiate. For those who wish donations made to the Pembroke Baptist Church or Potato World would be appreciated. The family would like to thank Dr. Clay Marco for going above and beyond his call of duty.
