      LONGPHEE, BEULAH MELINDA

      At the Carleton Memorial Hospital on Sunday, January 9, 2000, Beulah Melinda (Briggs) (Hamilton) Longphee of Woodstock, NB. Born at Gordonsville, NB on January 27, 1917 to the late David and Julia (Sparks) Briggs. She is survived by daughter Betsy Trail (Joe) Woodstock, NB, daughter Emily Murch (Ashley), Sault St. Marie, ON; sons, Weldon Hamilton (Brenda) Lower Brighton, NB, Hazen Hamilton (Dorothy), Woodstock, NB, Dewane Hamilton (Carol), Woodstock, NB, Donald Hamilton, Woodstock, NB; brothers, Weldon Briggs (Elsie), Hartland, NB, Henry Arnand (Elenor), Florenceville, NB, Ralph Arnand (Gail), Florenceville, NB, twenty-seven grandchildren, thirty-three great-grandchildren. Besides her parents she is predeceased by a daughter Fern Hagerman, son, David Hamilton and two grandchildren, brothers, Elias and George Briggs and Frank Arnand; sisters, Violet Thomplains, Jenny Houlton and Mildred Kinney.

      Resting at the Carleton Funeral Home, 337 Lockhart Mill Road, Jacksonville, NB where friends may call on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 1 p.m. from the Jacksonville United Baptist Church with Pastors Paul Welwood and Clifton London officiating. Interment will be in the United Baptist Cemetery at Bannon, NB. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Diabetes Association or the Jacksonville United Baptist Church.
