    • Obituary:

      The death of James Alexander Wasson of Bristol occurred on Thursday, January 18, 2018 at the Upper River Valley Hospital, Waterville. Born December 8, 1919 in Armond, NB he was the son of the late George and Mary (Adams) Wasson. He was also predeceased by his wife, Margaret (Biggar) Wasson; son, Arnold (8 years old); 4 brothers, Roy (Valeria), George (Marie), Lorne (Margaret) and Percy (Ada); 1 sister, Lillian Stickney (Tom); 1 daughter in law, Elizabeth Wasson; 1 brother in law, Edward Olmstead.

      James is survived by his 6 children, Willard (Shirley) of Belleville, ON, Eugene (Diana) of Esdraelon, NB, Reg (Diana) of Florenceville, NB, Raymond (Marilyn) of Esdraelon, NB, Ruth of Bristol, NB and Keith (Bonnie) of Waterville, NB; 9 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren; 3 step grandchildren; 1 sister, Cora Olmstead of Hoschton, Georgia as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family.

      Visitation will be held from L.R. Giberson Funeral Directors, 207 Burnham Rd. Florenceville-Bristol on Saturday, January 20, 2018 from 6-9 pm. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, January 21, 2018 at 3:00 pm from the L.R. Giberson Funeral Chapel. Rev. Ron Austin and Rev. Dale Shaw will officiate. Interment will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery, Esdraelon at a later date.
